Grip styles
Here are the different grip styles available, along with prices. Each is identified with a letter code.
The "Taper - plain" styles are as close as you'll get to a traditional pencil. Both "high" and "low" tapers are available. The "low" taper blends in better with the taper of the tip and moves the grip slightly further back.
For a little bit of extra grip, the "Taper – grooved" styles add a series of turned grooves. Again, both "high" and "low" tapers are available. The high taper (code THG) is actually my favourite everyday pencil!
If you prefer a round grip instead, the "Knurl – continuous" style mimics the appearance of many classic mechanical pencils. The round grip makes it easier to rotate the pencil to use the lead uniformly.
Finally, the "Knurl – interrupted" style offers the ultimate grip!
Pocket clip groove
Please note, if the pencil is ordered with a pocket clip, there will be a small groove turned in the body to hold this - see drawing on right. This groove will be visible if the clip is removed.
