IJ-7 Demonstration Module
Description
This module can be used with the IJ-6 temperature controller to demonstrate the controller's full range of features. It is idea for those users who have had no previous experience of PID temperature control.
A combined manual/quick-start guide is available in the downloads section.
Features
Power requirements
Operates from a 12V DC supply. Maximum input current is 0.5A.
Heating element
A 22Ω power resistor is used to heat a small aluminium thermal block whose temperature can be measured with the included K-type thermocouple. The low mass of the thermal block and the fast response time (around 5-10 seconds) enables different features to be demonstrated quickly.
Alarm buzzer
A small buzzer is mounted on the board which can be activated by one of the general-purpose relay outputs of the IJ-6 controller.
Indicators
LEDs provide an indication of DC power, alarm, and heating status.
Ordering
The IJ-7 demonstration module can only be ordered along with the IJ-6 temperature controller. Unfortunately, the IJ-7 demonstration module is no longer available. If you really, really need one, I might be able to scrounge up one, so please email me to ask.
